Hi, I'm Tuan :) In addition to being a designer, I am a passionate hobbyist chef. I grew up with the diverse cuisine of Vietnam. Cooking is a family tradition for me, which is why I love cooking for others.

I am also someone who enjoys discovering new flavors. Relying on my intuition, not by recipes or strict measurements. But many people don't dare to try new cuisines because they don't know what to expect. Taste is invisible. New flavor combinations from other cultures feel unfamiliar...

I am also someone who enjoys discovering new flavors. Relying on my intuition, not by recipes or strict measurements. But many people don't dare to try new cuisines because they don't know what to expect. Taste is invisible. New flavor combinations from other cultures feel unfamiliar...

That's why I came up with Vibe Kitchen: a platform where you can visualize and discover new flavors based on visual intuition, before you taste them! At the heart of the project is a recipe generator that translates that intuitive visual impulses into recipes.

Five Element Theory
The design is derived from the five element theory, which is an important cultural aspect of Vietnam and has a major influence on Vietnamese cuisine. This theory connects elements, seasons, body organs, and even tastes: sour, bitter, sweet, spicy/hot, and salty.
The visual system
Each of these elements is represented in Vibe Kitchen with its own shape, color, and symbolic character. They are then set in a radial grid system to create a flavor pattern.
How visual become taste?
A flavor pattern is built by changing the intensity of each element using sliders. These values are not simply linked to a fixed recipe – they serve as a basis for the AI to dynamically generate suitable ingredients and combinations. So there is no recipe database where the AI pulls out recipes; instead, it responds individually to your design. This means that a recipe does not come from a cookbook – it comes from what you feel visually. Your vibe.
Discover with AI
The advantage of intergrating AI in Vibe Kitchen is that it is not limited to Vietnamese cuisine and culture (which was the original idea), but it can be scaled up and enable you to explore other cultures into it as well.
